This method has earned her both local and national awards for home staging, and has made The Decorologist the go-to authority in the field of real estate staging.

Psychological Staging Home Staging Secrets of The Decorologist® eBook Kristie Barnett

I have no idea why this book is getting good reviews.

This was a lot of money for receiving what I would call a good looking workbook with tons OF FULL PAGE color photos and very little wording to instruct you. This was quite a rip off in my opinion.

Also this author must have written the description "on-trend" 30 times. This made reading the few lines of text (in huge point size to take up more space!) very annoying. Nice photos, but I could have bought a lot of nicer magazines for this. An author needs to write a book for this price!

I have now signed up for a staging home class at my local community college as there were not enough details here and questions answered if you need to sell a home that you have put a lot into financially or otherwise or if you are planning on starting a staging business.

Psychological Staging Home Staging Secrets of The Decorologist® eBook Kristie Barnett Reviews

I own many books on staging and redesign. Kristie's book is by far the best on the market. The pictures make her clear instructions impressively simple! Well worth the money. I would recommend to any who are serious about the art of staging.
Beautiful book !! This book is an easy read with wonderful examples and beautiful photos. I LOVE that it has exact paint colors along with color numbers clearly illustrated and labeled. Paint color samples can be so misleading and Kristie has taken the guess work out of choosing with easy, updated suggestions! Thank you !!!
I love this book! Beautiful photographs, valuable, clear information. Well organized and right on the money as far as current home staging trends. Love the psychological approach. All staging or design books become dated after a while but as of right now this is 100% on trend.
I have owned and operated a Staging company for 10 years! I am constantly learning and have pretty much bought every single staging book out there. This book has BY FAR been my favorite! I have something on every page highlighted. After reading this book I decided to take the in-person Expert Psychological Staging class and LOVED that as well! Thank you Kristie for writing such a great training manual for people in the staging industry!
The before and after photographs were well selected in demonstrating the concepts, which I personally, appreciated very much. There were quite a few tips and tricks of the trade which I had not yet read elsewhere but I would have liked to see more for the price point of the kindle version. It took less than a few hours to read thoroughly and take notes.

I would however, highly recommend this book as the only one you really need to read, especially if you are not looking to spend a whole lot of extra time researching how to prioritize a task list for self home staging - it’s got all the relevant information in just one place.

I enjoyed reading the book. It wasn’t filled with hard to understand jargon and unnecessary lengthy explanations. I only wish there had been a little more content, but that may just be my own personal curiosity in an effort to further the creative spark initiated throughout the many sections of this book.
So initially I purchased the digital version of this book.
I followed Kristie's advice as we completed the renovation of our home in Michigan.
We listed our home on a Wednesday, but asked our realtor not to accept any offers until Sunday ( 4 days after listing)
Our home received a total of 12 offers. ( 7 initially and 5 subsequently)
The bidding war, escalated the sales price.
Closed less than 1 month later for $8,000 over asking.
Flying high after our recent success in Michigan, we also decided to relocate within Florida.
Then I ordered the print version, so I could carry it with me as we completed the work.
So we staged our home ( following renovation) following Kristie's suggestions for making the best impression possible.
We put an ad on Craigslist and a local Facebook Group, for a open house ( again on a Sunday ..just for fun)
The plan was to hire a realtor the following day, but we ended up not needing it.
We received an offer at the open house.
The amount was $2,000 over asking, but there was no realtor involved this time around ( saving $6,720 in commission)
We closed 6 days after the open house. ( cash buyer)
So we came out ahead approx $8,720 on our second home, following this system.
Since then I've attended Kristie's EPS training in Nashville.
It was everything that I had hoped for, and more.
She is an excellent facilitator, and has a really beautiful aesthetic that clearly works when marketing your home for sale.
I'd take another class in a heartbeat, if she offered it!
Essentially the class was free based on the amount of money we've made from selling our homes ( by following her advice)
If you are on the fence about getting the book, hop off and click the purchase button )
Great book, great teacher and genuinely a nice person.
I'm not a home stager but sometimes I want the look at home- I found this to be a very helpful and informative book. I don't mind that she says "on trend" a lot - after all, that hideous 80's brass, pastels & wood look REALLY has got to go!!! She makes really good points - my husband thinks he's a detective and is extremely distracted by what he thinks he can learn about the owners of a home - she emphasises how to avoid this. Also, when I see a dated home, I can't imagine how I'd update it without spending a fortune- her simple, relatively inexpensive ideas help the seller eliminate this roadblock, and make it possible to really see myself in a home, as a buyer. There really was a ton of info and pictures, and I wonder if the one negative reviewer maybe only got the partial free sample on ?
